Dartmouth (1-13, 0-2) vs. Penn (7-7, 2-0)
The Big Green pulled ahead early and soon had a 7-2 lead, highlighted by a
Mekkena Boyd 3-pointer. The Quakers took control from there, going on an 18-2 run over the final 7:10 of the quarter, only ended by a Koch buzzer-beater to make it a 20-9 game.
Dartmouth chipped away at Penn's lead, holding the visitors scoreless for the first five minutes of the quarter and trimming the lead to seven. Out of the media, the Quakers responded with a run of their own, making it 28-13 with 90 seconds remaining. The Big Green again had the final word in the stanza as
Mia Curtis rattled in a trey with 50 seconds to go.
Penn came out firing in the second half with four points to start the third before both Jennings and Washburn got Dartmouth back in the game (32-20). The Big Green had a slight advantage over the last five minutes of the quarter, holding the Quakers to three points, and maintaining their edge on the boards, pulling down 33 after three quarters.
The other team scored four quick points to start the fourth quarter before

Jennings added a shot from the charity stripe before the game was done. Despite some shooting woes, the hosts put on a stellar defensive performance, holding the high-powered Penn offense to just 55 points, and Quaker junior Kayla Padilla to 11 points below her season average.
Dartmouth has a busy week coming up with three road games, starting with Harvard at 3 p.m. on Monday.
