HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth men's hockey team fell to St. Lawrence, 3-1, in ECAC Hockey action on Saturday evening at Thompson Arena.
Dartmouth falls to 3-11-2, 2-7-1 while St. Lawrence improves to 6-12-4, 4-6-2.
Freshman
Matt Hubbarde scored the lone goal for the Big Green, his second in as many nights. Dartmouth's goal came off a power play, making it the second straight game they have scored a power play goal.
The Saints opened the scoring early in this one, finding the net inside the first two minutes. Kaden Pickering was able to put one past senior goaltender
Justin Ferguson to give St. Lawrence the early 1-0 lead.
It was back and forth for the remainder of the period. St. Lawrence added to their lead midway through the second period after a goal from David Jankowski.
The Big Green came out firing in the third period, as they held a 14-3 shots on goal advantage during the final frame. After Tim Makowski was called for roughing, Dartmouth went on the power play. Junior

Sean Chisholm, who cut to the middle and made a perfect pass to Hubbarde in front of goal. Hubbarde redirected the puck into the back of the net for his fourth goal of the season and to cut the deficit to 2-1.
The Saints added one more with roughly four minutes remaining.
The Big Green pulled Ferguson as they tried to mount the comeback but were held off.
Ferguson finished with 19 saves. Chisholm picked up his team-leading seventh assist of the season.
Dartmouth will be off for a few days before returning to action on Wednesday evening as they host Union in ECAC Hockey action. That game will be available to stream on ESPN+.
