SCOUTING THE LIONS
Columbia has had a very good season and is currently tied for first in the league standings with Princeton, entering this weekend with an overall record of 14-3 and a 5-0 mark in conference action. This success is new for the Lions, which were either second to last or last every year dating back to 2011-12 except for one: they were fourth in 2019-20.
The staff is the same one that has been around for six years, with the exception of Cy Lippold, a guard who appears in the Dartmouth all-time record book who graduated in 2019 and is in her first year as an assistant at Columbia.
The Lions look good against their Ancient Eight opponents and are first in a number of categories: scoring offense, field goal percentage, assists and defensive rebounds. Individually, they have someone in the top 10 in every category.
ALL-TIME VERSUS COLUMBIA
The Big Green have dominated the all-time series against the Lions, going 57-18 dating back to 1977. Dartmouth has won four of the last six meetings, though the last two in 2020 went to Columbia.
LEADING THE WAY
The underclassmen continue to shine, as demonstrated by the fact that the top five scorers are all in their first seasons of competition. After her 20-point performance against Princeton, Curtis is sitting ahead of the pack with 130 points, while Boyd and Washburn are both one point away from 100. Curtis has also seen the most playing time among the Big Green with 404 minutes.
Ariik leads with 78 rebounds, while Washburn isn't far behind with 69. Boyd has pulled down a team-leading 30 assists and 18 steals.
