Herrington Named ECAC Hockey Player of the Month

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – Junior forward Sydney Herrington was named the ECAC Hockey Driscoll Player of the Month for her play in the month of December. It is the first monthly honor of Herrington's career.
Herrington had three goals and three assists for a total of six points in five games played. She helped lead the team to a 3-2 record last month and the Big Green ended December on a three-game winning streak.
She had an assist against RPI on Dec. 3, a goal and an assist in a 7-0 win over Franklin Pierce on Dec. 7, and then tallied a career-high three points in an 8-1 victory over Post with two goals and one assist on Dec. 10. Herrington is currently tied for the team lead in points this season with 11.
Herrington and the Big Green will look to continue their recent success this weekend. The team returns to ECAC Hockey play against Cornell, Saturday afternoon and then No. 6 Colgate, Sunday afternoon. Both road contests are set to start at 3 p.m. and can be streamed on ESPN+.
