CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The Dartmouth men's track and field team opened the 2022 portion of their schedule at the Harvard Multi & Beantown Challenge on Saturday at the Gordon Indoor Track.
UConn took the team win with a score of 201 points, followed by Harvard in second with 79 points, and UMass Lowell in third with 78 points. Brown took fourth with 62 points followed by the Big Green in fifth with 38 points. Rounding things out were Stonehiil (21), UMass Amherst (18), and Boston College (5).
"We are grateful to have had student-athletes and coaches on the bus to compete. This time last year, we were in our homes, anxiously awaiting opportunities to practice and compete. With all hands-on deck our athletics trainers, coaches, and athletes were fantastic," said Marjorie & Herbert Chase '30 Director of Dartmouth Track & Field and Cross Country
Porscha Dobson. "All adapted quickly and assisted each other in navigating new National College and athletic protocols. I applaud our team for helping make our return to competition happen."
"With personal bests and another school record, we had strong performances in the horizontal jumps and throws," Dobson continued. "On the track, our distance and mid-distance athletes brought more depth with an impressive transition from the cross country course to the track. We look forward to training through next weekend in preparation for a full competition schedule."
