HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's hockey team returns to Thompson Arena for a pair of ECAC Hockey contests this weekend. The Big Green first take on an Ivy League foe on Friday, November 11 as No. 9 Cornell travels to Hanover for a 6 p.m. matchup. Dartmouth then battle No. 4 Colgate on Saturday, November 12 at 3 p.m to close out the weekend
LAST TIME OUT
The Big Green took on RPI and Union in a pair of road games last weekend. Dartmouth secured its first win of the 2022-23 season against RPI on Friday by a score of 2-0 before dropping a 5-4 decision to Union in overtime on Saturday.
Sophomore goaltender
Maggie Emerson recorded a 17-save shutout against RPI, while
Annie King scored the game's deciding goal with just under 10 minutes remaining in the third.
Sydney Herrington added an empty-net goal to give the Big Green the 2-0 win.
Dartmouth stumbled in its second game of the weekend, as the Big Green squandered a 4-1 lead in the third period against Union. The Dutchwomen scored four-consecutive goals to secure a 5-4 win in overtime.
Celine Pietraszek recorded a pair of goals in the loss, the first multi-goal performance the Big Green has had this season.
INCREASED OFFENSIVE PRODUCTION
Dartmouth's offense saw increased production last weekend. The Big Green recorded six goals over two contests, including a four-goal performance against Union.
Pietraszek found the back of the net twice in the third period against Union. The Big Green also cashed in two power play goals against the Dutchwomen.
Five different players scored their first goals of the season over the weekend.

SCOUTING CORNELL
Cornell enters this weekend as the No. 9 ranked program in the country, according to the USCHO poll. The Big Red hold a 5-1-0 record and a 3-1-0 record in ECAC Hockey conference contests.
The Big Red had a scoring outburst last weekend, scoring 15 goals in a pair of contests against St. Lawrence and then-No. 10 Clarkson at home.
Cornell first took down St. Lawrence by a score of 7-6 on November 4 and followed that up with a dominant 8-1 victory the following day.
As of November 8, senior forward Gillis Frechette leads the nation in goals per game (1.00), assists per game (1.50) and points per game (2.50). She leads Cornell with 15 points and has registered a point in every game this season.
Deanna Fraser has seen most of the action between the pipes this season, making six starts for the Big Red. She holds a save percentage of .902 and enters the weekend with a 4-1-0 record.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE BIG RED
Dartmouth holds a slim 43-41-7 advantage on the Big Red in the all-time series.
The Big Green split the season series with Cornell last season. Dartmouth picked up a 4-3 win over the Big Red in Hanover on October 30, 2021. Cornell responded with an emphatic 5-0 victory in Ithaca, N.Y. on January 8, 2022.

Cornell has dominated the series in recent matchups, winning 12 of its last 13 contests against Dartmouth.
SCOUTING COLGATE
Colgate heads to Hanover with an 11-1-0 record, a 2-1-0 ECAC Hockey record and a No. 4 ranking in the USCHO poll.
After opening the season with a nine-game win streak, Colgate dropped its first game of the season to then-No. 7 Quinnipiac by a score of 3-0. The Raiders responded with a 2-1 win against then-No. 10 Clarkson at home last weekend.
Senior forward Danielle Serdachny has recorded 22 points in 12 games for Colgate. She averages 1.83 points per game, the third-most in the country as of November 8.
Kayle Osborne and Hannah Murphy have been stellar in goal for the Raiders. The goaltending duo have combined for a save percentage of .959 and a goals against average of 0.75.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE RAIDERS
Dartmouth holds a 33-18-3 record against Colgate in the all-time series.
Colgate has dominated recent matchups against Dartmouth, winning the last 12 meetings between the teams dating back to the 2014-15 season.
Last year, Colgate picked up a pair of 4-2 wins over Dartmouth.

The Big Green will travel to Waterbury, Connecticut for a midweek matchup with Post. Dartmouth takes the ice for its first non-conference game of the season on Tuesday, November 15 at 1:30 p.m.
