BELFAST, Northern Ireland. – The Dartmouth men's hockey team fell to Quinnipiac, 5-2, in the opening game of the 2022 Harness Friendship Four at the SSE Arena in Belfast on Friday.

Dartmouth moves to 1-5-1 while Quinnipiac improves to 10-1-2.

Sean Chisholm and
Matt Hubbarde both scored for the Big Green while
Braiden Dorfman,
John Fusco,
Cam MacDonald and
Tanner Palocsik provided the assists.
Cooper Black made 36 saves in goal.

The Bobcats had five different goal scorers and were led by Victor Czerneckianair, who finished with one goal and one assist.

Quinnipiac scored inside the opening six minutes, but the Big Green responded just minutes later to tie things up. Dartmouth went on to the power play after Joey Cipollone was called for slashing. The Big Green wasted no time taking advantage of the power play, scoring just seconds into the 5v4 opportunity. The shot from Palocsik was saved but the rebound was kept alive by MacDonald before Chisholm got on the end of it to poke it home to tie the game.
After a 1-1 first period, the Bobcats scored twice in the second frame to take a 3-1 lead into the final period.

Dartmouth scored the opening goal of the third period with their second power play of night. Taking advantage of another loose puck in front of goal with a 5v4 advantage, Hubbarde made no mistake and scored his second goal of the season to cut into the deficit with just over 14 minutes left to play.
The Bobcats scored midway through the third period to re-establish the two-goal lead. They later added an empty net goal to close the game out in the final minutes.

Dartmouth will play either UMass or UMass Lowell tomorrow in the consolation game of the 2022 Harness Friendship Four. Puck drop is scheduled for 10 a.m. EST (3 p.m. GMT) and will be available to stream on NESN+.
