OXFORD, Ohio — The Dartmouth women's swimming and diving team wrapped up the second day of competition at the Miami Invitational and remains in fifth place following the end of Friday's action in Oxford, Ohio.

Chiara Lopach placed fourth in 3-meter dive on the opening day of the invitational and on Friday, she received a score of 259.55 that was good for second place on the 1-meter board.

Julianne Jones was another Day 1 star and added to her impressive Ohio showing with a fourth-place finish in the 400 IM with a time of 4:26.77.
Carly Joerin followed in fifth place in the same event at 4:28.57. Jones also earned appeared in the A Final for the 100 breaststroke and placed sixth (1:04.34).

The 200 medley relay team of
Mary Howley, Jones,
Lindsey Drumm and
Lane Murray placed fifth and posted a time of 1:43.21. Drumm also had a strong showing in the 100 butterfly, which she placed fifth in with her 55.82 mark. Howley was another A finalist in that event and placed eighth (56.22).

Sydney Rawie,
Sophie Wiener and
Christina Cianciolo placed sixth in the 800 freestyle relay with a time of 7:40.24.

Miami (Ohio), the host, holds steady in the top spot in the invitational heading into the final day of competition. Saturday's prelims begin at 9 a.m. and finals are set for 4 p.m.
