Dartmouth took down Tufts in its first road match of 2022-23

MEDFORD, Mass. — The Dartmouth men's squash team rolled to a 6-3 win over the Tufts Jumbos on the road on Sunday. The Big Green secured their second victory of the year and won their first road match of the 2022-23 campaign.

The Big Green secured its first wins of the season at position No. 1 and 2, as seniors Jack Bell and Mac Aube led by example. Bell downed Tufts' Harry Charlton in three games, including a dominant performance in the second and third stanzas of the match. Aube took the first two games of his match against Kunal Valia and recovered after a tough third to give Dartmouth a four-set win at position No. 2.

Chris Zachary defeated Youssef Ezzo in four sets to pick up his second win of the year. Zachary took the first game, 12-10 and bounced back from a loss in the third to dominate the fourth, 11-3 to pick up the win.

Lucan White and Auggie Bhavsar picked up sweeps at positions No. 6 and 7, respectively. White won the third game of his match against Oliver Eielson in convincing fashion, 11-3, while Bhavsar completed a consistent performance over Jared Chin to give the Big Green a crucial win.

David Rubin closed out the Big Green's afternoon at position No. 9 with a sweep over Rohan Valia. Dartmouth's win over Tufts improved the Big Green to 5-0 against the Jumbos since 2005.

The Big Green are back in action in the new year, as Dartmouth travels to Maine for matches against Bowdoin on January 6 and Colby on January 7.
