Mekkena Boyd,

Dartmouth (3-21, 2-10) at Columbia (19-4, 10-1)
The Big Green took their energy from yesterday's win over the Big Red into the first quarter against the Lions, jumping out to a 4-0 start following baskets from Ariik and
Katie Douglas. Columbia made its way back, but
Rosie Jennings' trey with just over five minutes left put Dartmouth back up by four. The last half of the quarter was in the Lions' favor with their 9-2 advantage (14-11).
A Columbia trifecta in the first 15 ticks of the second quarter were the only points scored for almost five minute until Page ended the drought with her layup. The Lions had a quick 4-0 run before
Grace Niekelski hit her eighth 3-pointer of her rookie season. The home team scored nine of the final 13 points over the last 2:34 of the half to pull ahead by 10 (30-20).
All was quiet until two and a half minutes into the third quarter. After Big Green defense got in the way of the Lions making any moves, Columbia responded with back-to-back treys. Page opened scoring for the visitors with her swisher at 6:01, but the Lions kept raining down threes to put more distance in there. Having been kept down for a while, Dartmouth enjoyed a 9-2 run, highlighted by
Allie Harland's trey, to go from a 20-point deficit to 13 at the end of the third (46-33).
Having found a groove in the final few minutes of the third quarter, the Big Green struggled at the start of the fourth as Columbia went on an 11-2 run over the first five minutes, with those points coming from
Jimena Abejon. Dartmouth came back in the final 1:41 when Corona picked up two points and Washburn hit both of her free throws. A last second trey from Corona ended the game (66-42).
Dartmouth will be at Penn next Saturday for its final road game of the 2021-22 season.
