OPENING WEEKEND
Dartmouth kicks off their season at the Chanticleer Showdown hosted by Coastal Carolina in Conway S.C. They play two games on Friday, starting with North Carolina A&T in the morning and then Monmouth in the evening. They follow that up with Monmouth again, Saturday morning and Maryland Saturday night. They close out opening weekend with Central Michigan, Sunday morning.

WHAT TO EXPECT
·     The Big Green were tied for fifth with Yale in the 2022 Ivy League Preseason Poll.
·     Dartmouth has not played a full season since 2019. Billie McFadyen, Emily Lipsett, Kira La Scola, Brooke Plonka and Madie Augusto are the only remaining players on the roster from that season.
·     They finished 2019 with a 13-27 record and a 10-11 record in Ivy play.

2020 & 2021
·     The Big Green started the 2020 season with a 4-6 record before the year was cut short due to Covid-19.
·     In 2021, the team played only five games with a 3-2 record. Dartmouth split a doubleheader with UMass and fell to Boston College by a score of 6-4.
·     McFadyen led the team with a .556 batting average in 2021 and Plonka posted a 2.23 ERA with three appearances and two starts.

SCOUTING NORTH CAROLINA A&T
·     The Aggies currently have a 6-4 overall record and take on North Carolina tonight before Friday's matchup with the Big Green.Â
·     A&T went 4-1 this past weekend. They defeated Fairleigh Dickinson three times and then split with George Mason.Â
·     Dezianna Patman (.391), Eternal Fuller (.367) and Icess Tresvik (.333) are all having strong starts at the plate. S'Nyiah Stinson and Joey Barkhimer have spent the most time in the circle for the Aggies and each have two wins this year.

SCOUTING MONMOUTH
·     The Hawks currently have a 1-4 overall record after one weekend of play.
·     Monmouth's win came against North Carolina last Saturday and they were defeated by Bethune-Cookman, Butler, Stetson and Florida Atlantic.
·     The Hawks are led by Lindsey Baron (.429), Julia Thuer (.333) and Stavi Augur (.313). Emily Spencer has made four appearances in the circle and has a 2.63 ERA in 13.1 innings played.

SCOUTING MARYLAND
·     The Terps currently have a 4-5 overall record and are coming off a 1-0 win over No. 17 Missouri on Sunday.
·     Maryland went 2-3 last weekend and their other win was an 11-3 victory of Bethune-Cookman.
·     Sophomore Michaela Jones leads the way for the Terps. She has a .400 average, one home run and five RBI in 20 at bats. Junior Trinity Schlotterbeck has a 1.93 ERA from the circle in six appearances. She has a 2-3 record.

SCOUTING CENTRAL MICHIGAN
·     The Chippewas have a 2-3 record after one weekend of play.
·     Their two victories came against Bellarmine, last weekend at the WKU Hilltopper Classic.
·     Sophomore Caitlyn Britton (.455) and senior Shannon Stein (.385) have led the charge to start the season. Britton leads the team with six RBI and Stein has two home runs. Junior Kaitlyn Bean has posted a 1.10 ERA from the circle in 10 innings pitched.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Big Green return to the field next weekend at the Tennessee Invitational in Knoxville, Tenn. They have games scheduled against South Alabama, Tennessee and Virginia.
