PRINCETON, N.J. – Ashley Post, a senior on the Dartmouth women's swimming and diving team, has been named to the Academic All-Ivy Team for her accomplishments in and out of the pool.
Â
The Edina, Minnesota, native had a very successful trip to the Ivy League Championship, the last of her career. She competed in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, and was part of the 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 800 free relay and 400 medley relay.
Â
Post made it back to finals in all three of her individual events, swimming in the A final twice and the B final once, her best finish coming in the 200 free (4th – 1:47.48). Her time of 50.12 in prelims of the 100 free took down a nine-year old school record by a tenth of a second.
Â
Outside of swimming, Post shines in the classroom as well. The economics major has a 3.45 cumulative GPA. She has volunteered with the Keys to the Valley Housing Initiative to help solve the current housing issues. Post hopes to live and work in Boston, New York or Chicago after graduation.Â
