First Day of Alpine Races at Vermont Carnival Postponed

The incoming snowstorm is pushing back the giant slalom races to Saturday
STOWE/CRAFTSBURY, Vt. — Due to the incoming storm, the giant slalom races at the Vermont Carnival have been postponed from Friday until Saturday. The sprint skate races will be contested as scheduled on Friday, though the first heat has been delayed until 11 a.m.
The slalom races that were scheduled to take place on Saturday will be rescheduled for a future date to be determined.
In addition, spectators will not be allowed at the giant slalom races on Saturday due to the large number of people expected to be at the Stowe Mountain Resort.
