LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Dartmouth men's tennis team dropped its penultimate match out west to Loyola Marymount on Thursday, 6-1. The Big Green dipped to 7-6, while the Lions improved to 5-10.

A 6-0 win by LMU at the No. 2 position was followed by a 7-5 victory by
Anders Gibbons and
Dominik Pauli on court one. Tied and with play continuing on court three,
Daniel Webb and
Andy Ilie fought hard but narrowly fell by a score of 7-6(4).

The Lions added another win at the No. 5 singles before
Alex Knox-Jones defeated Arthur Pantino, 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 4 position. LMU won the final four matches to end the match.
Carlos Guerrero Alvarez and Pauli's matches on courts two and three went to third-set tiebreakers before their opponents were victorious.

Dartmouth will face DePaul on Friday before heading home in preparation for Ivy League play.
