HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth men's tennis will head to New York this weekend to face No. 58 Cornell and No. 23 Columbia, the latter in a neutral match in Westchester.

The 8-7 Big Green dropped its Ivy League opener to No. 15 Harvard in Cambridge last Saturday. Although the Crimson won all six singles matches,
Carlos Guerrero Alvarez took the second set against his opponent at the No. 2 position and
Andy Ilie forced a second-set tiebreaker on court five.

Half of the Ancient Eight teams opened conference play last weekend, while Cornell, Columbia, Penn and Princeton will play their first matches this Saturday and Sunday. The Big Red are 12-5 and are coming off a 7-0 defeat of St. John's on Sunday. The 10-5 Lions most recently had a 6-1 victory over Navy.

On April 16 and 17, Dartmouth will host Penn and Princeton, playing at home for the first time since March 5.
