The 1992 ECAC Player of the Year has advanced to the round of 32
ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Tracy Welch, a member of the Dartmouth Class of 1993, is currently competing at the U.S. Senior Women's Amateur at Anchorage Golf Course and working her way through the field.
The 1992 ECAC Women's Golf Player of the Year finished stroke play at the tournament in a tie for 26th place with a 13-over 157, easily making the cut that consisted of the top-64 golfers who advanced to match play. Yesterday, Welch defeated Gigi Higgins, 2-and-1, to earn a spot in the round of 32 today against Sherry Wright, who finished tied for third in stroke play at 6-over par.
