THIS WEEKEND
The Dartmouth women's soccer team opens the 2022 season with two games this weekend. The Big Green host Fordham on Friday afternoon before heading down to Connecticut for a Sunday afternoon tilt with Sacred Heart.

LAST SEASON
The Big Green are coming off a 2021 season in which they finished 7-7-1 overall with a 2-5 Ivy League record. They started off well, going 4-0-1 in the opening five games with three of the games finishing 2-1. The end of the season was also strong for Dartmouth as they won the final two games, including a come-from-behind victory over Cornell on senior day to close out the season.

ALL-IVY RETURNERS
Dartmouth returns two All-Ivy players from the 2021 season, forwards
Allie Winstanley and
Hannah Curtin, both of whom were named NEWISA All-New England. Winstanley and Curtin finished 1-2 for the Big Green in scoring as Winstanley finished with seven goals and six assists while Curtin had six goals and four assists.

The Big Green brought in six players in the Class of 2026:

NCAA PLAYER TO WATCH
Allie Winstanley was named on the forwards list of the United Soccer Coaches' 2022 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Players to Watch.

Winstanley earns the recognition after earning a spot on the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Second Team after the 2021 season.

SCOUTING FORDHAM
The Rams enter Friday's contest with a 1-1 record. Fordham picked up their first win of the season in their previous outing by a score of 2-1 over Wagner.

The Rams have yet to play a home game this season as they opened with two road matches last weekend against Stony Brook and Wagner. Friday's game will make it three in a row before they open on home turf on September 1 against Hofstra.

Carmen Hardwick, Caroline Monahan and Maura Murphy each have one goal for Fordham through the opening weekend with Hardwick scoring the game-winner on Sunday against Wagner. Kristen Cocozza and Julia Holton both have one assist.

Maria O'Sullivan has handled goalkeeping duties through the first two games, making seven saves while allowing three goals.

ALL-TIME AGAINST THE RAMS
This will be the third meeting all-time between the Big Green and the Rams with Dartmouth holding a 2-0 series lead. The Big Green won the last matchup between the two sides with a 4-0 victory at Burnham on September 13, 2013.

SCOUTING SACRED HEART
Sacred Heart currently stands at 0-1. They are scheduled to play on Thursday, August 25, against St. John's at 7:00 p.m.

The Pioneers fell to Vermont by a score of 2-0 in their season opener at Park Avenue Field. The Catamounts took the win by scoring one goal in each half, led by Kate Bossert who scored one and assisted another. Elyssa Kipperman made nine saves in net for the Pioneers.

ALL-TIME AGAINST THE PIONEERS
The Big Green have a 3-1 all-time series lead over the Pioneers. Dartmouth took the win in the matchup during the 2021 season, winning 2-1 in double overtime thanks to a 108
th minute goal from
Hannah Curtin.

With Dartmouth taking the win in the last three meetings, Sacred Heart is looking for their first win in the series since a 1-0 victory in 2014 on their home turf.
