HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth men's soccer team heads west for a Saturday night matchup with the UAlbany Great Danes on Sept. 17. The Big Green look to recover from a pair of losses at home with a win on the road.
Dartmouth last took the pitch at Burnham Field on Tuesday against the UMass Minutemen. A trio of goals from the visitors were too much to overcome, as the Big Green fell by a score of 3-1 in a rain-soaked match.
The Big Green opened the season on the road and will look to replicate their early success this weekend. Dartmouth kicked off the season with a 1-0 win over Niagara Sept. 2, while its second road contest ended in a scoreless draw against Canisius Sept. 5. Goalkeeper
Costi Christodoulou has yet to concede a goal on the road.
UAlbany enters Saturday's match with a record of 1-4-1. The Great Danes hold a mark of 1-0-1 at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium. Albany started the season with a tie against Boston University at home and its lone victory occurred on Sept. 9 as the Great Danes hosted and knocked off Ivy League opponent Penn by a score of 1-0.
The Big Green look to extend their grasp on the all-time series against UAlbany. Dartmouth has won five of six matchups against the Great Danes, including a 1-0 win in Hanover last season.
