BOSTON, Mass. — The Dartmouth men's cross country team finished in second place at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown on Friday afternoon at Franklin Park in Boston.

Virginia claimed the top spot with 20 points followed by Dartmouth in second with 98 points. Rounding out the top five was Northeastern (103), Yale (139) and Youngstown State (164).

Will Daley led the way for the Big Green, finishing in seventh with a time of 23:58. Also finishing in the top 10 was
Jacob Winslow in 10
th with a time of 24:12.
Albert Velikonja (20
th) and
Eric Sankey (23
rd) finished within three seconds of each other as they crossed the line at 24:41 and 24:44. Rounding out the scoring for the Big Green was
Maclean Hadden in 38
th with a time of 25:04.

Dartmouth heads to Bethlehem, Pa. next Friday for the Paul Short Invitational, hosted by Lehigh.

Notes: Dartmouth's second place finish is their best at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown since they won the event in 2016.
