BETHLETHEM, Pa. – Dartmouth men's cross country competed at the Paul Short Run on Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, hosted by Lehigh University.
"I thought our student-athletes competed with heart today at the Paul Short Invitational," said
Mike Nelson, the Marjorie & Herbert Chase '30 Director of Dartmouth Track & Field and Cross Country. "The weather was unseasonably warm and that had some effects on the race. We fought through the conditions for a solid team result. We had some runners who had great days while others struggled but we learned a lot."
The Big Green finished 15th in the Men's 8K in a competitive field, as
Connor Foley led Dartmouth across the finish line, in a time of 24:32.1, in 22nd place.
Sam Laverdiere was the second Big Green runner to finish, in a time of 25:00.2, in 51st place.
Callahan Fielder was the third runner for Dartmouth to cross the finish line in a time of 25:32.5, in 99th place.
Victor Delgado was the fourth Big Green runner to finish in a time of 25:51.3, in 136th place. Rounding out the top five for the Big Green,
James Gurley was the fifth runner to cross the finish line for Dartmouth in a time of 26:07.1.
"
Connor Foley and Virginia Kraus lead the way with some awesome individual performances. We will hopefully get some runners back from injury before our next meet and be able to keep progressing as a team. Go Big Green!"
