HANOVER, N.H. — The Eastern Intercollegiate Skiing Association announced their weekly award winners following the season-opening Bates Carnival, and Dartmouth's
Allie Resnick was chosen as the organization's Women's Alpine Skier of the Week.
Resnick, a sophomore from Vail, Colorado, made her collegiate debut at the carnival and did not disappoint. She began her weekend by winning the giant slalom at Sunday River and finished it with another stop on the podium by claiming third in the slalom. A member of the U.S. Ski Team, Resnick is currently fourth in the Nor-Am standings as well.
The Big Green will be back in action this weekend for the St. Michael's Carnival, but only on the trails as the alpine races have been postponed until the weekend of Feb. 3-4. The cross country races will be held at the Rikert Nordic Center in Ripton, Vermont, beginning with the freestyle sprint at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, followed by the 15K classic at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
