Four Singles Wins Highlight Opening Day of Brown Classic

Peyton Capuano and Michela Moore won in both singles and doubles
PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Dartmouth women's tennis team competed against opponents from Yale, Brown and Villanova on Saturday, the opening day of the Brown classic. The Big Green won nine of 12 singles matches and split six doubles matches, coming away with 12 total wins.
Dartmouth won four of six singles matches, primarily against Yale, to start the day. Peyton Capuano and Michela Moore were both victorious against Bulldog opponents and even accounted for the Big Green's lone doubles win.
Against Villanova later in the day, Dartmouth was dominant to the tune of five wins in singles and two in doubles. Capuano and Moore both won again, capping an unbeaten day in singles. Elizabeth Fahrmeier/Katie Weber and Valentina Cruz/Ujvala Jupalli represented the two doubles triumphs.
Sunday marks the end of the Brown Classic, which is a prelude to the ITA Super Regionals at Army West Point beginning Friday, Oct. 20.
