HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's tennis team rolled to a 4-1 win over Cornell on Saturday morning at Alexis Boss Tennis Center as part of the second day of the ECAC Championship. On Friday, the Big Green pushed No. 1 seed Princeton to the limit in a neck-and-neck 4-3 decision.
Dartmouth picked up the first two doubles decisions to clinch the point before
Brooke Hess' victory at No. 6 singles sealed the 4-1 triumph.
Lexi Dewire and
Emily Zhou opened doubles play with a 6-2 win at the No. 3 position before
Katie Weber and
Brooke Hess gave Dartmouth the point on Court 2 with their 6-3 decision.
Ujvala Jupalli raced to a two-set win at No. 4 singles to extend the Big Green's advantage and after Cornell got one back at No. 1, it was
Emily Zhou (No. 5) and
Brooke Hess (No. 6) who clinched the win.
Dartmouth will battle Yale at 8 a.m. on Sunday, the final day of the ECAC Championship.
