CANTON, N.Y. – The Dartmouth men's ice hockey team fell to St. Lawrence, 2-0, in ECAC Hockey action on Saturday evening at Appleton Arena, bringing the regular season to a close. The Big Green move to 5-23-1, 4-17-1 while the Saints improve to 17-17-0, 12-10-0. St. Lawrence scored both goals with under 10 minutes remaining in the third period.

Cooper Black finished with 33 saves for the Big Green.
Joey Musa won nine out of 15 faceoffs. The Dartmouth defense combined to block 15 shots, led by
Jack Cameron,
Cooper Flinton, and
Ian Pierce, who each had two.

Tucker McIntosh and Aleksi Peltonen scored for the Saints. Felikss Gavars and Tom Makowski each had one assist while Emil Zetterquist stopped all 19 shots he faced to earn the shutout.

On the penalty kill, Musa had an attempt on net for a short-handed goal, but his shot went wide, keeping the game scoreless inside the opening few minutes of the contest.

The Saints scored their first goal of the night early in the third period. Just after the Big Green killed off a penalty, St. Lawrence played a long outlet pass to the right side along the boards to get into the Dartmouth defensive zone. After heading toward goal and cutting back, the Saints made two quick passes across for McIntosh to take a quick shot and score. St. Lawrence added to the lead midway through the period when Peltonen took advantage of a Big Green turnover while on the power play, skating towards goal and tucking it home for the short-handed goal.

The Big Green nearly cut into the deficit with 3:21 remaining in the game.
Sean Chisholm played a pass towards the goal just outside the crease to Musa, but his attempt steered wide as he was held on the play, drawing a power play for Dartmouth.

The Big Green pulled Black to add another attacker to make it a 6v4 advantage. The Saints fended off the attack to hold on for the victory.

Dartmouth hits the road next weekend for the first round of the ECAC Hockey tournament. The Big Green will take on the five seed, Colgate, on Friday evening. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game will be available to stream nationally on ESPN+ and internationally on Stretch Internet. Ticket information will be announced in the coming days.
