WINCHESTER, Mass. — The Dartmouth women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Boston University Sunday afternoon at Winchester Indoor Tennis Club despite winning efforts from co-captain
Emily Zhou in both singles and doubles.
The doubles point came down to the top court, where the Terriers used a 6-4 victory from Erica Di Battista and Kaitlin Tan to clinch the early advantage. Zhou's win over Di Battista at the No. 3 position marked Dartmouth's lone win in singles action. The senior is now 5-1 on the season and is unbeaten in her last five.
Zhou's victory at No. 2 doubles alongside
Lexi Dewire helped Dartmouth fight back after dropping the first decision before the Terriers capped doubles play with the top-court showdown. All singles matches were decided in two-set fashion.
Dartmouth returns home Saturday, March 4 when it hosts UMass for Professor Appreciation Day at 6 p.m.
