MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — The Dartmouth men's tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss at the hands of three-time defending Conference USA champion No. 21 Middle Tennessee in the second match of its southern road trip Friday afternoon at Adams Tennis Complex.

The Blue Raiders earned the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions before claiming all but one singles matches, with
Alex Knox-Jones allowing the Big Green to avoid the sweep.

Waleed Qadir and
Miles Groom hung with Middle Tennessee's top pairing, but ultimately succumbed for just their third loss of the season as the Blue Raiders clinched the doubles point. Stijm Slump sealed the match at No. 1 singles and action continued with Knox-Jones eventually adding a win for the Big Green in a neck-and-neck two-setter. The sophomore improved to 8-3 on the season and has won three of his last four matches.

Dartmouth returns to the courts on Tuesday, March 21, traveling to Elon for a 2:30 p.m. tilt.
