ELON, N.C. — In the third of its four-match southern road trip, the Dartmouth men's tennis team dropped a close 4-3 decision to Elon Tuesday afternoon at Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.

Elon earned the doubles point and closed it out in singles, despite the Big Green battling back with
Henry Ren's victory on Court 4.
Carlos Guerrero Alvarez and
Miles Groom were both winners in third-set superbreakers on the top two courts after the Phoenix clinched.

Ren improved to a team-best 12-3 record in singles with his two-set win over Ahmed Hosni. Guerrero Alvarez has claimed six of his last seven on the top court, with the only loss coming at the hands of No. 21 Middle Tennessee, and Groom returned to form at the No. 2 position.

Dartmouth wraps up the road trip on Friday, March 24, traveling to UNC Wilmington for a 2 p.m. tilt. Following the return to Hanover, the Big Green host Harvard to open Ivy League play on Saturday, April 1.
