LA JOLLA, Calif. — Despite a strong start that saw the Big Green earn the doubles point, the Dartmouth women's tennis team was defeated, 5-2, by San Francisco on Sunday afternoon at La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club.
Emily Zhou and
Lexi Dewire clinched the doubles point following a marathon on Court 3, winning their sixth straight match and improving their record to 7-1 on the season, after
Brooke Hess and

Senior co-captain
Ashley Hess stormed back after dropping the opening set to eventually win the third in tiebreak fashion for her fifth singles triumph of the season.
Chidimma Okpara also went the distance at the No. 1 position, but ultimately dropped the third-set superbreaker.
