The Dartmouth men's track and field team opened the weekend with two events at the George Davis Invitational, hosted by UMass Lowell, and two events at the Virginia Challenge on Friday.
The Big Green competed in the shot put and hammer throw at UMass Lowell while taking part in the 800m Invite and 5000m Invite at Virginia.
GEORGE DAVIS INVITATIONAL
Max Klein set the tone for the day, finishing first in the shot put with a personal best throw of 18.00m. Klein's throw is second all-time in program history and is second on the Ivy League performance list this season.
The Big Green claimed the top three spots in the hammer throw.
Jake Dalton led the way in first with a throw of 62.27m.
Ben Pable took second with a throw of 58.84m and
Michael Gabriel finished right behind in third with a throw of 58.27m.
VIRGINIA CHALLENGE
Albert Velikonja ran for a personal best time of 14:10.37 in the 5000m Invite. His time is the eighth best in the Ivy League this season.
DJ Matusz ran for a PR in the 800m Invite, finishing with a time of 1:49.40.
