HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth sailing team closed out the semifinal round of the Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) Women's Fleet Race National Championship on Wednesday. The Big Green sailed to a sixth-place finish, qualifying for the finals of the regatta, set to begin tomorrow in Kings Point, New York.
After a lack of wind delayed the start of Wednesday's races, Dartmouth set sail at Kings Point at 2:30 p.m. The Big Green clinched a spot in the finals, maintaining their sport in the top nine on the western division leaderboard. Dartmouth, along with fellow Ivy League programs Yale, Harvard, Brown and Cornell will compete in a field of 18 programs in search of a national championship.
Dartmouth was represented on day two of the regatta by
Sarah Young and
Elise Donovan in the "A" division.
Taylor Eastman and
Eliza Crocker competed for the Big Green in the "B" division. The lack of wind only allowed the teams to set sail in two races.
The final round of the ICSA Women's Fleet Race National Championship is set to begin tomorrow and conclude Friday. Fans can keep track of live results at
