JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Julia Fenerty finished second in Heat 2 of the 800m race on Thursday evening as the Dartmouth women's track and field team competed at the NCAA East Regional Prelim at the Jax Track at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida.

Fenerty finished the race with a time of 2:05.76. With the second-place finish, Fenerty has booked a spot in Saturday's quarterfinals with a chance to qualify for nationals.

Bridget McNally competed in the long jump on Thursday, taking 33
rd overall. McNally jumped for a distance of 5.89m on her second attempt.

Anya Hirschfeld finished 43
rd in the 1500m race with a time of 4:28.91.

The Big Green will have two student-athletes competing on Saturday for the final day of the NCAA East Regional.
Katherine Strong will run in the 3000m steeplechase at 5:40 p.m. and Fenerty will compete in the 800m quarterfinals, scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Both events will feature three heats, and Strong and Fenerty will need to finish in the top three of their heat or have one of the next three fastest times to advance to nationals.
