HANOVER, N.H. — Three student-athletes from the Dartmouth men's track and field team received All-Ivy recognition, as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.
Sophomore
DJ Matusz earned first team honors while senior
Jake Dalton and freshman
Max Klein landed on the second team. Additionally, Dalton was named Academic All-Ivy.
Matusz earned his spot on the first team after claiming the gold medal in the 800m race on Sunday at the Ivy League Championships, coming from behind in the final 100m of the event to take the win.
Dalton took second in the hammer throw on Saturday. His first throw of 61.96m earned him the silver medal, beating third-place Asher Robbins of Princeton by 0.36m. Dalton, an environmental studies major, landed on the Academic All-Ivy team for his performances in the classroom and inside the circle this season.
Klein earned his silver medal in the shot put, throwing for a mark of 17.69m on his third attempt on Sunday at the Ivy League Championships.
Dartmouth heads to the New England Championships this Friday and Saturday at Northeastern University.
