IVY PLAY BEGINS
Dartmouth opens Ivy League play this weekend with a trip to Connecticut on Saturday to take on Yale. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Reese Stadium.
HISTORIC START
The Big Green are off to a historic start this season with a 5-0-3 record. It's the longest unbeaten start in program history and with the 1-1 draw against UMass Lowell, Dartmouth went unbeaten in non-conference play for the first time in program history.
LOOKING BACK TO LAST WEEK
Dartmouth scored a season-high four goals against Iona last Wednesday along with its fifth shutout of the year.
Frankie Valverde,
Danielle Burke,
Audrey Marin and
Aspen Anderson each scored for the Big Green.
They then tied UMass Lowell, 1-1, on Sunday in the non-conference finale. Marin scored for the second-straight game with
Jaidyn Curry and
Ellie Davidson picking up the assists.
THE DEFENSE
The Dartmouth defense has allowed just four goals through eight games this season.
Emily Hardy has recorded five shutouts and boasts a .900 save percentage.
Hardy's .900 save percentage ranks ninth in Division I and she is ranked 12
th in shutouts.
SCOUTING YALE
Yale enters Saturday's contest with a 4-1-2 record. They are coming off a 2-2 draw against St. John's on Sept. 14.
Ellie Rappole and Anita Thorvaldsdottir lead the Bulldogs in goals with three apiece. Ashley Kirschner and Nana Yang both have two goals. Six different players have an assist for Yale.
Marisa Shorrock has started all seven games in goal, making 33 saves along with a .805 save percentage. Shorrock has been named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week twice out of the five weeks of play this season.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE BULLDOGS
The Big Green are 21-20-4 all-time against the Bulldogs. The two sides played to a scoreless draw last season at Burnham Field.
Charlotte Cyr '23 made a career-high 15 saves in goal.
Dartmouth claimed a 2-1 victory in its last trip to Reese Stadium.
Hannah Curtin scored both goals for the Big Green, with the game-winner coming in the 88
th minute.
