The Big Green won one game in the match at the eighth position

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Big Green men's squash team lost their Ivy League matchup Saturday to No. 2 Penn, 9-0 at the Penn Squash Center. With the loss the Big Green move to 5-5 on the season and 0-3 in the Ivy League while the Quakers remain undefeated, becoming 10-0 overall and 3-0 in league play.

The Big Green's lone game win came from first-year Callan Venkatesan in the eighth position. Venkatesan dropped the first two games (6-11, 8-11) before winning the third game 11-8 to cut Penn's Hao Cui's lead in half. Venkatesan ultimately lost the fourth game to lose his match, 3-1.

At the fourth position, senior David Rubin forced his first game to extra points, but lost the first game 12-10. Penn's Nathan Tze Bing Kueh took momentum from the first game and defeated Rubin 3-0 (12-10, 11-5, 11-1).

The Big Green return to action Sunday when they face their second straight Ivy League opponent Princeton on the road. The match is set to start at noon. You can watch the match on Stretch Internet or follow the live scoring on the official DartmouthSports website.
