The Big Green were swept in six of their nine matches

PHIILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Big Green women's squash team was able to win four games on the day, but couldn't string them together at one position, ultimately falling to No. 2 Penn 9-0 on Saturday at the Penn Squash Center.

With the loss, the Big Green fall to 5-5 on the season and 0-3 in Ivy League play while the Quakers extend their winning streak, moving to 10-0 overall and 3-0 against other Ivy Leagues.

Senior Ellie Burke was the most successful for the Big Green, forcing a fifth game at the fifth position. Burke won the first game (11-5) but was only able to score one point in the second game, allowing Penn's Natasha Pensler to tie the match. Burke was able to take the lead again in extra points (14-12) but dropped the next two games (10-12, 6-11) to lose the matchup 3-2.

First-year Zayna Usman in the eighth position and sophomore Callie Worth in the ninth position each won one of their four games. Usman won her first game (11-9) however Penn's Penelope Oh battled back, winning three straight games to complete the victory (11-7, 11-7, 11-7). Worth lost her first two games (2-11, 8-11), but secured a win in her third game in extra points (12-10). Unfortunately, a hard-fought battle in the fourth game fell with Penn (10-12).

The Big Green return to Ivy League action Sunday when they face No. 4 Princeton. The match at Jadwin Gymnasium begins at 2:30 p.m. and can be watched on Stretch Internet or followed along via live scoring on DartmouthSports.com.
