SAVANNAH, GA. – The Dartmouth women's golf team headed to Savannah, Georgia and warmer weather for The Southern tournament. The Big Green golfed two rounds on Monday, currently sitting in sixth place having shot a +45.

Alex Kirk said the "front nine of the course seemed to be scoring opportunities while the back nine was very challenging."
Olivia Cong leads the way for the Big Green, sitting tied for fifth place with a 146 (+2) through the first 36 holes. Cong also tallied nine birdies on the first day of competition.
Lauren Pham is the next member of the Big Green, sitting tied for 24
th, having shot a 154 (+10) on day one of the tournament.
Caroline Chung sits tied for 49
th overall. Chung shot consistently, shooting an 80 (+8) in both rounds.
Hope Hall is right behind, having shot a 161 (+17) through 36 holes. She put up an 82 in the first round and a 79 in the second round.
Sophie Thai rounds out the five golfers whose scores count towards the team score, posting a 165 (+21) through 36 holes.
Only two strokes behind Pham is
Alissa Xu who is competing in the tournament as an individual. Xu shot an 80 (+8) during the first round and a 76 (+4) through the second 18 holes.
Kirk overall described the first day and two rounds of the tournament as a "team effort" and says the Big Green will "look to improve [Tuesday] and close out the fall competitive season on a high note."
