HANOVER, N.H.—Dartmouth field hockey played its final home game of 2024 on Friday as Yale traveled to Hanover. The Bulldogs defeated the Big Green 4-0 at Chase Field.
The opening quarter saw Yale jump out to a 1-0 lead at the 8:22 mark. The Bulldogs outshot the Big Green 7-0 in the first quarter as Dartmouth netminder Ava Carlson made four saves.
Yale made it a 2-0 game at the 7:52 mark of the second quarter. The Bulldogs added to their lead with just over three minutes remaining in the quarter. Dartmouth came away with the lone penalty corner of the quarter but could not convert on the chance.
The third quarter was scoreless as there was a combined five shots and just one penalty corner. Gabriela Braceras notched the lone Big Green shot attempt. The Big Green had their second corner of the game in the third quarter.
Yale added its final goal with just under 11 minutes remaining in regulation. Carlson made three saves in the fourth quarter.
Carlson made nine saves in goal while Ella Bowman recorded a defensive save against the Bulldogs.
Dartmouth closes the 2024 season with four straight road games starting on Sunday, Oct. 20 against UMass-Lowell.
