Dartmouth was victorious at the No. 1, 5, 7, 8 and 9 positions

HANOVER, N.H. — The No. 11 ranked Dartmouth women's squash team opened its season on a high note on Saturday, beating No. 13 Georgetown 5-4. With the team score tied at four, sophomore Zayna Usman erased any doubt with a convincing 3-0 win at the No. 5 position.

Usman won her point behind a 11-8, 11-6, 11-1 victory. Also victorious for the Big Green was junior Maria Clara Ramirez, first-years Maya Shroff and Kriti Muthu, and sophomore Nathalie Taylor.

Ramirez picked up a 3-1 win at No. 1 (5-11, 11-6, 11-6, 11-9). The Big Green swept the Nos. 7 through 9 positions. Shroof was victorious at No. 7 (11-6, 11-5, 11-7), Muthu at No. 8 (11-8, 5-11, 12-10, 9-11, 11-6) and Taylor at No. 9 (11-9, 14-12, 11-6).

The Big Green return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 4 when they host No. 3 Harvard at 5 p.m.
