HANOVER, N.H. – The men's squash team collected wins at the first and second positions and won one game at the fifth position but were unable to string together any other victories, falling to Columbia, 7-2 at the Berry Squash Courts. With the loss, the Big Green move to 5-7 on the season whereas the Lions move to 5-5.
Junior
Mac Aube collected a win for the Big Green at the first position. Aube came out strong, winning the first game 11-9. He did not look back, only allowing four points over the next two games (11-1, 11-3) to win his match, 3-0.
Junior
Christian Shah also collected a win in the second position, but Columbia was able to force it to all five games. Shah won the first game in extra points (14-12) but was then held to only one point in the second game. In the third game, Shah was able to take the victory in extra points, 12-10. He was then only held to three points in the fourth game but was able to run away with the fifth game (11-5) to win 3-2.
Junior
Quintin Campbell was the only other Big Green player to win at least one game at the fifth position. He lost the first two games (7-11, 6-11) and won the third game 11-9, but unfortunately lost the fourth game in extra points (12-14) to fall 3-1.
The Big Green will be back in action tomorrow to face No. 6 Cornell on Senior Day. The match is set to start at noon at the Berry Squash Courts. You can follow along via the live scoring on DartmouthSports.com
