HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth men's and women's swimming and diving teams have displayed plenty of progress throughout the 2023-24 season, especially with increased scoring at the Ivy League Championships, and several athletes from both squads were recently honored with head coach
Milana Socha's announcement of team awards.

LUTKUS AWARD • SOPHIE WIENER & COLTON RASMUSSEN
This award is presented annually to an athlete who has proven to be an outstanding and consistent performer during the season, and who has maintained a high academic standing. Wiener balanced strong academics and leadership, being a captain of the women's team. Rasmussen, one of the men's team's fastest sprinters, exceled in both the classroom and the water as a contributor to multiple record-setting relays.

GEER AWARD • LANE MURRAY
This award is presented annually to an athlete who has contributed the most to the development of the Dartmouth women's swimming and diving program, not only through her performance in the pool, but through her day-to-day dedication to her teammates. Murray's teammates describe her as an uplifting spirit and an excellent motivator with strong passion for the sport.

GLOVER AWARD • TIM PARK
This award is presented annually to the most inspirational member of the Dartmouth men's swimming and diving team. Park, a fifth-year, has displayed exceptional commitment to the program and will be missed, but his legacy will continue to impact younger teammates for years to come.

OUTSTANDING FRESHMAN AWARD • TOMMY ERWIN
This award is presented annually to a first-year athlete who made the highest contribution to the Dartmouth men's swimming and diving team, both by way of points scored and leadership. Erwin led a talented group of Big Green first-years in points during both the dual-meet season and the Ivy League Championships.

OUTSTANDING FRESHMAN AWARD & KARL MICHAEL SWIMMING AWARD • CARINN BETHEA
Carinn Bethea took home both of these honors after leading the Big Green in scoring throughout the season, eventually becoming the only athlete from the either the men's and women's teams to appear in an A Final at the Ivy League Championships. The Karl Michael Swimming Award is presented to the top swimmer on both the men's and women's teams.

KARL MICHAEL SWIMMING AWARD • YAN DVORETSKIY
Dvoretskiy, honored as the men's team's top swimmer, was the team's top scorer throughout season and is currently the second fastest butterfly swimmer in Dartmouth history, He also helped set a program record in the 800 free relay at the 2024 Ivy League Championships.

RON KEENHOLD DIVERS OF THE YEAR • MAGGIE LAMBDIN & ARYEH LESCH
This award is presented annually to the diver who contributes most to the overall team effort by way of points scored, enthusiasm and dedication to the program. Lambdin was victorious on the 3-meter board against both Yale and Penn and followed it up with wins in both the 1-meter and 3-meter during the Tate Ramsden Invitational. Lesch placed second on the 3-meter board during the Tate Ramsden Invitational, helping Dartmouth defeat UMass at home.

PAUL TSONGAS MOST IMPROVED AWARD • SYDNEY RAWIE & YAN DVORETSKIY
Rawie dropped almost 20 seconds in the 500 free from her first appearance, the scrimmage against Boston University, compared to her performance in the Ivy League Championships, which secured a spot in the B Final. She also dropped eight seconds in the 200 free at the Ivy League Championships. Dvoretskiy consistently improved throughout the season and posted lifetime bests in nearly every event he swam. In addition to a pair of B Finals at the Ivy League Championships, Dvoretskiy also earned an NCAA B-Cut and an NIC auto-qualification time in the 200 fly.

TATE RAMSDEN COACHES AWARD • RACHEL ZHANG & WILLIAM MCCLELLAND
The coaches award, named in honor of Tate Ramsden '17, is given to an athlete whose character and commitment to the team best exemplifies the spirit of the program. Zhang was the women's team's Academic All-Ivy honoree and achieved a lifetime best in the 100 breast during the Ivy League Championships. McClelland, one of the several talented newcomers on the men's team, earned a strong reputation during his first year with the Big Green and contributed to some strong relay efforts at Ivy League Championships and was a finalist in multiple other events.
