HOOVER, Ala. — The Dartmouth men's tennis team, no stranger to close matches over its last several contests, dropped a 4-3 decision to Jacksonville State on Saturday at Hoover Metropolitan Complex. Four of the Big Green's last five matches have been decided by a score of 4-3.
Â
The Gamecocks earned the doubles point despite falling at the No. 1 position to
Henry Ren and
Miles Groom. A close battle on Court 2 featuring
Waleed Qadir and

Â
Big Green singles victories came from Guerrero Alvarez (No. 1), Groom (No. 3) and
Alex Knox-Jones (No. 6). Groom, who now stands at 11-1 on the season in singles, won his fourth straight match.
