GREENVILLE, N.C. – Tyler Brand and
Alex Gu both finished in the top 10 as the Dartmouth men's golf team took fifth at the ECU Intercollegiate at the Brook Valley Country Club in Greenville, North Carolina.
Brand shot 2-over par (74) on Tuesday to finish off at 2-over par for the three rounds, tying for sixth with Oakland's Robert Burns. Gu was right behind in tie for eighth a 3-over par. The senior shot 3-under par (69) on Tuesday with six birdies.
Kimche carded a 79 (+7) in the round to finish the event at +16.
Aaron Zhang finished the trip with a +19 and
Fin Szafnauer rounded out the Big Green with a score of +30.
East Carolina picked up the win after shooting +15, narrowly defeating UCF, who finished 17-over par. Hans Risvaer of UCF was the top individual after finishing at 3-under par. East Carolina's Drew O'Neal claimed second at 2-under par.
Dartmouth returns to the links on Saturday, March 30 against Cornell down in Hobe Sound, Florida.
