PINEHURST, N.C. — The Dartmouth women's golf team put forth a strong effort against Yale on Saturday at Dogwood Course at Country Club of North Carolina, ultimately falling 4-3 in a competitive match. The Big Green victories came from sophomore
Hope Hall and seniors
Penelope Tir and
Katherine Sung.
"This was a very productive, competitive match with Yale," said
Alex Kirk, the Carolyn A. Pelzel '54 Head Coach of Women's Golf. "I was proud of how the team fought the entire match. We continue to learn and improve to prepare for Ivies in April. "
Hall and Sung were both victorious, 3 and 1, while Tir won, 2 and 1. The rest of the field was extremely competitive as well.
Saturday served as a good way for the Big Green to stay sharp after the Columbia Invitational three weekends ago and the rest of the spring schedule, which continues with the Lipscomb Invitational in three weekends.
"A big thank you to Jessica Kittleberger, DWG '18 and her family for hosting this event at CCNC," said Kirk.
