HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's tennis team, back in action inside Boss Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon for the first time in nearly a month, dropped a narrow doubles point and couldn't quite regroup in singles during a 5-2 loss to UMass.
Michela Moore (No. 2) and
Lexi Dewire (No. 3) accounted for the Big Green's singles victories, but they weren't enough to fend off the Minutewomen, who earned the doubles point in tiebreak fashion on the top court. Moore and Capuano came out on top at the No. 2 position and the point eventually hinged on the battle taking place at No. 1.
Dewire picked up her team-best fifth singles win of the year and is 5-2 at No. 3. Lemcke grabbed her fourth victory of the season.
The Big Green are back in action on Friday, March 15, starting a four-day slate in California with a visit to UC Irvine.
