AIKEN, S.C. – The Dartmouth men's golf team closed out the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate with the third round on Tuesday. The Big Green finished 45-over par on the day, finishing 15
th in the 15-team field.
Davidson won the event, ending at 5-over par. South Carolina – Aiken finished second, shooting 851 (+11) while Furman claimed third after shooting 859 (+19).
Rory McDonald O'Brien of South Carolina – Aiken won the individual title after carding a 69-68-70—207 (-3). Daniel Azallion of Virginia Tech and Joshua Stewart of Davidson tied for second after they both finished at 2-under par.
Tyler Brand ended as the top finisher for the Big Green, carding a 13-over par (83) in the final round to finish at 10-over par.
Fin Szafnauer (+27),
Charlie Baker (+29),
Cameron Keith (+31) and
Aaron Zhang (+32) rounded out the competition for Dartmouth.
Zhang finished as the top Big Green finisher for round three, carding an 8-over par (78).
Dartmouth returns to the links in a couple of weeks, competing at the ECU Intercollegiate in North Carolina on Monday, March 18 and Tuesday, March 19.
