GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Dartmouth men's golf team is off to a hot start at the ECU Intercollegiate, sitting in fifth place after the first two rounds on Monday at the Brook Valley Country Club.
Tyler Brand is leading the way for the Big Green, sitting in third place after carding a 72-72—144 (E).
Brand had five birdies in the first round but was undone by a double bogey and a triple bogey to finish the round even. The first-year shot even in the second round as well with four birdies in the round.
Alex Gu is tied for 24
th after shooting a 72 and 78 to sit at 6-over par going into the third round.
Eli Kimche shot an 82 (+10) in the first round, but turned things around in round two, carding a 71, 1-under par.
Also out on the links for the Big Green today were
Aaron Zhang (+11) and
Fin Szafnauer (+14).
East Carolina is currently atop the team leaderboard at 8-over par (584). Barton and Temple are both tied for second at +16. East Carolina's Drew O'Neal, competing as an individual, leads the way at 2-under par.
