STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. — The Dartmouth ski team stands in ninth place after day one of the NCAA Championships on Wednesday, which featured the men's and women's giant slalom. Sophomore
Oscar Zimmer highlighted the day with a 10th-place finish to earn second team All-America honors, marking his second straight year as an All-American. At last season's NCAAs, he finished fifth in the giant slalom to earn first-team honors.

Zimmer posted a combined time of 1:45.63, after the ninth-best time in the first run and 12th-best in the second. Senior
Max Martin and sophomore
Dan Gillis were the next two Big Green to finish, placing 26th and 27th with total times of 1:47.50 and 1:47.57.

On the women's side, junior
Allie Resnick was Dartmouth's top finisher, coming in 17th with a time of 1:57.91. She was followed by sophomore
Zoe Zimmermann in 28th (1:59.95). Senior
Olivia Holm finished 13th in her first run, but did not finish her second run.

Through day one, Utah leads the team standings with 154.5 points, followed by Colorado (137.5), Denver (133.0), Vermont (101.0), Westminster (82.0), Montana State (78.0), Alaska Anchorage (70.0) and New Hampshire (59.0). Dartmouth (47.0) and St. Michael's (44.5) round out the top two.
