Katherine Sung, the Dartmouth women's golf team wrapped up action at the Navy Spring Invitational on Saturday. Through 18 holes, the Big Green stand in seventh place, shooting 41-over-329.
"Very challenging playing conditions," said
Alex Kirk, Carolyn A. Pelzel '54a Head Coach of Women's Golf. "There were 30+ mph winds with firm fast greens, which created a challenge. We battled, but need to dig in tomorrow and bounce back. Katherine played a solid round with two odd holes. It was good prep for Ivies with current playing conditions."
Sung is tied for third overall at 4-over-76 while classmate
Penelope Tir was the Big Green's next finisher, tied for 12th at 8-over-80. Sophomore
Sophie Thai is tied for 20th at 10-over-82.
First-year
Caroline Chung shot 19-over-91, with sophomore
Kim Shen at 21-over-93.
The Big Green wrap up the Navy Spring Invitational on Sunday with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
