HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's tennis team has its first Ivy League win thanks to four straight singles victories, capped by the clincher from
Michela Moore on Court 2, in Sunday's 4-1 win over Cornell inside Boss Tennis Center.
Trailing 1-0, the Big Green flipped the script as
Peyton Capuano,
Elizabeth Fahrmeier,
Caroline Lemcke and finally Moore each emerged victorious to seal the conference win. Moore's clincher came in three-set fashion over Michelle Ryundin as
Lexi Dewire and
Katie Weber were both locked in three-setters of their own.
Despite Dewire and Fahrmeier winning No. 1 doubles – the duo's third straight – Cornell was able to take the doubles point with narrow 6-4 triumphs on Courts 2 and 3.
After Sunday's win, the Big Green have won 11 of the last 13 against the Big Red, including one in the 2023 ECAC Championship.
Next up for Dartmouth is a trip to Princeton on Saturday, April 20. Fans have one more chance to catch the Big Green in action at home this season, and that's Saturday, April 27 when they host Harvard.
