Setting the Scene
The Dartmouth men's lacrosse team hits the road for the final time this season when the Big Green travel to Brown on Saturday to face the Bears. Opening faceoff is set for 1 p.m. on ESPN+. Last time out, Dartmouth jumped out to leads of 7-1 and 10-5 over No. 9 Yale, but the Bulldogs stormed back for a 20-13 victory. Saturday will mark a return to Brown for Big Green head coach
Sean Kirwan, as Kirwan was an assistant for the Bears for two Ivy League Championship seasons, including a Final Four appearance.
Â
Last Saturday marked the first time in over 10 years that the Big Green were tied or leading Yale at the half. The last time was a 3-3 tie after 30 minutes of play on Apr. 6, 2013. The Bulldogs went on to win, 7-5. Despite the second half, there were a number of positives to last week's game. Junior
Mason Morel continued to shine in goal, finishing with 19 saves. In Ivy League play, he has made 61 saves, including 52 over the last three games.
Â

Griffin O'Neil and sophomore
Thomas Goguen each had four groundballs and two caused turnovers. There were two pole goals, from fifth-year
Andrew Johnston and first-year
Will Cohen. It marked Cohen's second straight week with a goal.
Â
Fifth-year
Mitchell Myers bounced back from a tough start in the faceoff circle to finish 11-of-24 with nine groundballs. In the process, he reached exactly 500 career faceoff wins and eclipsed 250 career groundballs. Myers currently owns 255, eight from tying and nine from breaking Phil Hession's (2012-15) all-time record of 263.
Â
Dartmouth will be vying to snap a 14-game losing streak against Brown and win its first Ivy League road game since 2009, while spoiling Brown's Senior Day. The Big Green close out their season next Saturday vs. No. 9 Cornell.
